Update 10

This last week I have been able to do a little more stuff than last week, and the next release is starting to look like something.

I have used some time trying to fix some of the automated bugs we got from the game.

I have also tried to optimize the way the major airlines buys/orders aircrafts, since we still got that fx. Delta Airlines orders a lot of beechcraft and aircrafts like that. Now it will look at the focus of the airline before deciding if it is going to use aircrafts from major manufacturer or not.

There have also been some time for some new features which have been requested in the forum.

On the page for showing your routes, it is now possible to see how you scores on the different parameters compared to your opponents.

It is now also possible to assign an aircraft to a route directly on the create route page. This is done, so it is easier to get a route up and running quickly. This feature might be expanded soon, so we have more options to select from when assigning the aircraft, like number of daily departures etc.

I have also gotten a little time in the last week to update some of the airport data sent from user.

Next Week

The week I will finally the next release, which hopefully will be done by the end of week next week, so we are pretty close to the next release.

One of the things I will try to implement in the next week, is a suggestion from an user regarding optimizing the saved game and removing some of the saved information.

I am also already thinking about what should be a part of the next release after the one for next week, so I can start planning if there will be some major changes.

Update 9

Devlog

There haven’t been much activity on the game this week, since I have been very busy on my regular job.

Some of the few bugs I have been able to fix, is a bug where you try to load a saved time table to another airliner and another minor bug with loading a saved game with custom airlines.

Of new features I have added, is so you can specify on creation of new route if it should have different winter and summer timetables.

And on the show route page I have added so it is possible to see the route schedule for the route.

Next Week

I hope that I will be able to get some more work done next week, since I am starting to prepare for the next version, which will be released in the next 14 days.

I still have one more bug to fix, and then maybe I will also add some minor features requested in the forum

Devlog

Since the last update we have released a fix pack which seems to have fixed most of the game crashing bugs, so now I have started focusing on adding new features as well as fixing some of the none-crashing bugs.

One of the none-crashing issues I have fixed is where an airline ended up with a home base not in its own country as well as it had route to/from the same airport.

I have also fixed so if you select a game with only international airports you will no longer get all airports no matter if it is international or domestic only.

New features added so far are the possibility of transfering a route from/to a subsidiary airline as well as showing demand based on the different classes.

I have also added the LCC tag for around 40 airlines.

Next Week

Most likely I will keep focusing on all the inputs we have recieved from the users of the game, but I haven’t made my mind up on what exactly I will implement yet.

The only thing I know for sure, is that I will keep updating the airport data, since an user has sent me a list of over 600 airports which should be updated.

 

Update 7

Devlog

The latest version was released Tuesday (both on the forum and at sourceforge) and so far we have over 250 downloads. I got a lot of bugs reported, which I am currently trying to fix.

Some of the things I have fixed is an issue with loading of a saved game, where the human airline ended up with a random airline, and also an issue with creating a cargo route.

The current issue I am trying to fix, is an issue with the preloaded subsidiaries where sometimes an airline gets a wrong subsidiary which also makes the game crash.

As soon as I have fixed that and tested the other fixes, I will release a fix pack.

The only new feature is a faster way of assigning routes to an airliner so it can be done through a popup window instead of having to enter the routeplanner page.

Next week

I have recieved a lot of updates for the different airports from one of our users, so when I have some time I will try to update the data.

Else than that the next week will most likely be used for bug fixings and hopefully also be able to look at some of the inputs for improvements and new features
